Welcome to my personal collection of historical pictures, picture postcards and information about Government Stations (Boma places) in former German East Africa – nowadays Tanzania, Ruanda and Burundi.

Old Boma Pictures contains more than 40 old german Boma´s on picture postcards.

At New Boma Pictures you can see more than 60 pictures of 30 former german boma´s in today´s condition. Pictures were taken between 2012 and 2018.

On my German website www.boma-kalender.de you can see more than 300 picture postcards from the time before 1918 (for example Bagamoyo, Dar es Salaam, Kilwa Kivinje, Tanga, Lindi and other places).

The pictures from the years 2009 – 2012 - 2014 -2016 - 2018 give evidence of actual condition of buildings.
